Books i’d love to see made into movies

Hi bookworms! 🙂
So I thought i’d list some books that i’d love to see made into movies (but am also really scared to see them made into movies because y’no…)!!!!

Throne Of Glass by Sarah J Mass

Can you imagine how bad ass this series would be as a film? Also, with how handsome the guys are in the books there are bound to be some eye candy for me! Also, I have so much love for these books I would love to see them adapted onto the big screen, especially if it was adapted well! *grabby hands*

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

Now, I’ve only read this book a little while ago and already it has a special place in my top 10 favourite books I’ve read this year, possibly even ever considering how much love I have for it. It’s full of relatable characters and you can also get the glimpses of Simon and Baz and I just think it would make a perfect film!

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

I’d probably say the whole Anna and the French Kiss series, the books are so cute and adorable and I can imagine the film being exactly the same. I’d even settle for a cute little TV show for this one because it’s such an adorable set of books and I love them so much!! 💖💖💖

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

We Were Liars by E.Lockhart

Although I wasn’t the biggest fan of the book (I think I gave it 3 stars?), I think this would make an excellent mystery film, especially if you were going into this film blind not knowing what the book is about or what the big twist is I think it would be an excellent and exciting film to watch!

Cinder by Marissa Meyer

I’m gonna say the Lunar Chronicles as a whole will make for an excellent film. It as such a diverse range of characters and is full of space and cyborgs and lots of different cultures AND I JUST REALLY WANT TO SEE CRESS AND THORNE TOGETHER PLEASEEEEEEEE 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins

I absolutely loved this series, it was hilarious and I loved the characters and seeing it on the big screen would be amazing, especially as the main character in this is just awesome and so relatable I think it would be a great YA book to create into a film 🙂

I’d love to see what you think in the comments, do you agree with any of my picks?
What one’s would you like to see turned into movies? 🙂

Guilty Reader book tag

I have seen this take around the book blogging community and booktube and I’ve been meaning to get around to doing it for a while now, and today is that day! 🙂

1.  Have you ever regifted a book that you’ve been given?

Just because not many of my friends read and those who do read completely different things to me xD

2. Have you ever said you’ve read a book when you haven’t?

All the time when I was at school, usually for English Lit and I would then have to actually read the book, or at least some of it. Me and classics just have never really got on that much 🙁

3. Have you ever borrowed a book and not returned it?

When I was a kid we always we forgot to bring books back xD
I’m also pretty sure iv’e borrowed books from friends and still have them to this day :’)

4. Have you ever read a series out of order?

Nope, unless it can be read out of order but I don’t tend to – unless it’s on accident anyway xD

5. Have you ever spoiled a book for someone?

Not on purpose, i’m pretty sure I probably spoiled a book for my sister at some point tho!

 6. Have you ever doggy eared a book before?

Is that when you fold the corners on the page – if so nope. I hate when people do that to books!
Just use a bookmark 🙂

7. Have you ever told someone you don’t own a book when you do?

Nope 🙂

 8. Have you ever told someone you haven’t read a book when you have?

Nope 🙂

 9. Have you ever skipped a chapter or a section of a book?

Yep, usually when I find myself not enjoying the book and its just a chapter with a lot of info dumping and really boring.

 10. Have you ever bad mouthed a book you actually liked?

No way, I hype up all books I like xD

Books you should read without the synopsis

Hi guys!
So today I thought i’d list some books that you should read without the synopsis.
Some of these I brought without knowing what they are about and others I have actually read without knowing what they are about – some were hits and some were misses 🙂

We Were Liars

Now, the synopsis on this one is very vauge.
‘A beautiful and distinguished family.
A private island.
A brilliant, damaged girl; a passionate, political boy.
A group of four friends—the Liars—whose friendship turns destructive.
A revolution. An accident. A secret.
Lies upon lies.
True love.
The truth.’

So really, you don’t know much about what’s going to happen really which does make it super interesting – however this book and me just didn’t get along and I ended up not enjoying it very much at all.

Six of Crows

This book I picked up based on the fact it had been all over goodreads and it was written by the marvellous Leigh Bardugo so I had no idea what it was about other than the fact I needed to read it. Looking back at the synopsis on Goodreads I feel like it gives away quite a lot and this would definitely a book to pick up without reading the synopsis.

Every Heart a doorway

This book is on my list to buy based on the fact everyone seems to rave about how good it is and its less than 200 pages, I haven’t read the synopsis yet myself as i’ve heard you don’t really have to read it to love what is happening inside! Fingers crossed I love it when I finally get around to reading it 🙂

Red Rising

This is another book that I picked up (and loved) without really knowing what it was about. Looking back i’m glad I read this without knowing what it was about as the synopsis on goodreads piratically gives away everything that happens in the book 🙁

Throne of glass

I was super late to the party on this one and picked it up based on the fact it was written by Sarah J Mass. This is definitely a book you should go into blind, I think you’d enjoy it a lot more 🙂

What books did you buy without reading the synopsis?
I’d love to know in the comments 🙂

Some of the most intimidating books

So I thought i’d do a little list of some books that I would like to really but the size of them scares the hell out of me.
I’m sure it would take me years to finish some of them.
Then there are ones that are so well loved i’m worried I won’t love them half as much as some people do!

Game of Thrones series by George R. R. Martin.

This one is for two reasons. One because the hype surrounding the book and the tv show is ridiculous. I got only to series 3 with the TV show and fell behind and I just haven’t been bothered to carry on! I will eventually i’m sure. Then of course there is the fact that it is 848 pages!!! I try to read 50 pages a day depending on how busy I am, this book would take me over 2 weeks to finish. CRAAAAZZZZY!!

IT By Stephen King

I have never read a book by Stephen King.
There I said it, come at me with your pitchforks if you gotta.
I have watched this feel and it scared the hell out of me so the idea of reading a 1116 page book while being scared for most of it doesn’t sound that appealing. Maybe one day, who knows?

The Lord of The Rings by J.R.R Tolkien

I have read the movies and absolutley loved both LOTR and the Hobbit. The books I don’t think I even have on my TBR on good reads. I’m not sure if I will ever read them. I mean its 1216 pages which is a ridiculous amount and i’m not sure how I feel about it? Will the writing draw me in? Will I just be comparing it to the film? Ugh, this is a difficult one.

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

I do intend to eventually pick this one up. It’s another whopper being 850 pages. The hype is strong with this one, I think nearly everyone who has read it has loved it – same going for the TV show. I do intend to read this one next year (lol yeah sure i will…..).

The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson

This book I actually intend to read soon. Woo!
It’s only 541 pages which compared to some of these books on this list. It’s not the size that scares me on this one it’s the fact it’s Brandon Sanderson!!! I mean I feel like everybody loves a book that he has wrote so i’m really hoping I enjoy them.

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

522 Pages which is nowhere near big compares to the others. But I have heard SUCH GOOD THINGS.
I don’t think I have spoken to anybody who didn’t have good things to say about this and the goodreads overall rating of 4.36 stars proves that.

The Diviners by Libba Bray

I have heard good and bad things about Libba Bray but I have heard great things about The Diviners series and I just want to read it and love it and give it 5 stars soooooo bad.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin

I am scared to read this for 3 reasons.

1) Its Jane Austin.
2) It’s such a high rates classic
3) I’m actually not sure if I would like it, the writing and stuff I think i’d find so hard to read 🙁

I’d love to heard what books you think are intimidating and if you agree with any of the ones i’ve listed above? 🙂

The Unpopular Opinions Book Tag

Doing tag’s is really growing on my recently, I think they’re quite fun to do and some of my favourite posts on blogs to read! 🙂

So let’s get into it!!

1) a popular book or book series that you didn’t like

i’m going to go with the red queen series. although i enjoyed the last book the first two were not good and the main character is absolutely awful.

2) a popular book or book series that everyone else seems to hate but you love

i’m going to go with twilight, although i haven’t read it for a long time (and i don’t intend to), when i did read it for the first time i absolutely adored this series, it was some of my favourite books at the time.

3) an otp that you don’t like

this was eaaaasy. and that is of course the grisha series. im sorry to those that do like who ended up with who but i did not want mal and alina to end up together, not one bit. maybe in the first book i liked the idea of them together but by the end i didn’t want them together 🙁

4) a popular book genre that you hardly reach for

i’m gonna go with horror, just because being scared while reading a book isn’t my sort of thing. thrillers i can deal with but full on horror?? no thank youuuu.

5) a popular/beloved character that you do not like

hmmm. probably gale from hunger games. i just thought he was a plain, boring character. to be honest, i forgot what he really did in the books so he must have been boring xD

6) a popular author that you can’t seem to get into

this is really difficult!!! i’d probably say julie kagawa. i tried her iron fey series and i didn’t like them one bittttt. its sort of put me off reading some of her other stuff a little too.

7) a popular book trope that you’re tired of seeing

love triangles! mostly just because its very unrealistic – i just about have one guy who loves me! xD
that and i get really annoyed and salty if she mc doesn’t get with my favourite guy out of the two! :’)

8) a popular series that you have no interest in reading

to be honest, i don’t think there is one! 🙁

9) the saying goes “the book is always better than the movie”, but what movie or tv show adaptation do you prefer more than the book?

I loved the tv series for 13 reasons why much better than the book! 🙂

consider yourself tagged if you are reading this!!
i can’t wait to see your answers 🙂
do you agree with any of the ones i listed? 🙂

Favourite Bromances

I looooove a good bromance in a book!
So below are five of my favourite bromances 😀

   Kell Maresh & Rhy Maresh

I feel like this is pretty self explanatory but Kell and Maresh are brothers, maybe not by blood but they are in every sense of the word.

Will Herondale & Jem Carstairs

Not only are they top level bromance but they are also parabati which goes so much further! I absolutely love the two of them! ???

Harry Potter & Ron Weasley

These are next level bromance, I love the two of them together and Deathly Hallows nearly broke me when the two of them fell out.
Thankfully, it all worked out in the end! ??

Kaz Brekker & Jesper Fahey

Jesper and Kaz are complete opposites but I think that’s what makes them so special. Kaz is always trying to get Jesper on the right path and Jesper is the one trying to lightenn the mood, its obvious that Kaz looks after Jesper and that Jesper looks up to Kaz. YAY FOR BROMANCE ??

The Raven Boys

Can I really do one of these without mention the precious cinnamon rolls that are Gansey, Ronan, Adam and Noah.
I adore these boys with all my heart and there friendship it just so perfect and special. ??

Who are your favourite bromances?
I’d love to see in the comments!!!

Things about being a bookworm I hate

I am having a very bad day today in general so I thought today it would be fun to talk about the things I reaaaaally hate about being a bookworm.
I’m sure many of you will agree! 😀

1) Different sized books.

Okay, so i’m not one of these people who order there bookcase in rainbow or by author or anything, the only thing I do is put series together, my biggest pet peeve is when it’s a trilogy and the two are the same and the last one is a complete different size!! It looks so weird next to each other and infuriates me so much 🙁

woops, okay. i’m calm, sorta. maybe?

2) Sequels.

the main problems i have with second books in a series is that they sometimes tend to fall into second book syndrome in which they are just nowhere near as fun and as exciting as the first book.

THEN. yes there’s more.

Then there are times when the second book shouldn’t even exists, there are some books that should just be a stand alone.

3) Waiting for books.

I hate waiting for my books to be delivered.
I hate waiting for them to come in paperback because i’m not rich and can afford hardback for everything.
I hate , hate, hate, hate waiting for the next book in the series with a passion.

4) Spoilers.

simple right?
apparently not.
The amount of time I have been scrolling down goodreads and someone hasn’t hidden a spoiler or wrote that there are spoilers ahead and i’ve had a book ruined for me, it always makes me not want to read that book because you already know what’s going to happen 🙁

5) A book slump.

This is probably the thing I hate the most about being a bookworm.
Why does such a thing exist?

So yep, there you have it – some of the things that annoy me.

Do you relate to any of these?
Is there any that aren’t on here that you have, i’d love to see down below in the comments! 🙂
