Arc Mini Reviews vs2

Me and this book didn’t get on, which was a shame. This was one of those books which I enjoyed the general theme of the book but not the actual book itself which was a shame as I was quite excited to finally get around to reading this ☹

I thought this book was going to be a lot more action packed than it actually was. The main character Pen I didn’t really like or connect to very much which made this book rather boring to read. I didn’t feel like many of the characters had any redeeming qualities that made me want to like them really.

I liked the idea of the paranormal bits and the disappearances were quite interesting but I just think it all fell a little flat and I was just bored reading this ☹

Sadly, this book wasn’t for me this time round.

These past few days I’ve had a habit of picking up a book based on its blurb and enjoying it a lot less that I actually thought I would – this book falls into that section.
The insta love was a no no for me in this book, sometimes I love insta love (if it’s done well) and sometimes I hate isnta love, this falls into the hate section. Ugh. No.

I also didn’t like Scarlett like at all? She just wasn’t for me, I didn’t really like her very much, I didn’t connect to her, just meh.

Also, it was a little predictable. I figured out the big “plot twists” before they were revealed which meant that I ended up finding this book a little boring at times.
Just yeah, another miss for me sadly ☹
